Terms of use

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms apply to the Snagcast apps and to snagcast.com. By using Snagcast you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Snagcast.

Use Snagcast only for content you have the right to use

Your content

What you make with Snagcast is yours. Snagcast does not upload your videos, captions or posts to us; see Privacy.

Snagcast's software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Snagcast. Do not sell, resell or redistribute it, or remove its notices. Open-source parts of Snagcast are under their own licences, listed in the app and in its third-party notices; nothing here limits your rights under those licences.

Snagcast Pro

Snagcast Pro is a one-time purchase: a license key that unlocks Pro's features on your own devices (Android, Windows and Mac) for as long as Snagcast offers them, with no subscription. Do not share or resell your key; a key that is shared publicly may be revoked. On snagcast.com, payment is taken by Stripe, which adds any sales tax or VAT due where you live. Pro can be tried free for 7 days in the app first; a purchase can be refunded within 3 days and is final after that (see our refund policy). Pro bought in the Google Play version is sold by Google Play under its terms.

Your key is delivered as soon as you pay. By buying, you ask for it at once and agree that, once it has been delivered, you lose any statutory right to withdraw from the purchase (such as the 14-day right in the EU and the UK); our 3-day refund policy still applies.

Test builds and updates

Snagcast is in active development. Features may change or be removed, and updates install to keep the app working and secure.

No warranty

Snagcast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Sites change, and a feature that works with a site today may stop working.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Snagcast is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, accounts or profits, arising from your use of Snagcast. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

If you believe Snagcast's website or app infringes your copyright, write to support@snagcast.com with the subject "Copyright complaint". Include the work, where you found the material, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We answer within a few working days.

Snagcast does not host what its users save or post: that stays on their devices and on the sites they post to, where those sites' own complaint processes apply.

Changes

We may change these terms. We will update this page and its date; continuing to use Snagcast after a change means you accept it.
